Talal Al-Nawab

Founder & University Admissions Counsellor

With over 8 years of experience working within the education industry as a University Admissions Counsellor and Test Preparation Specialist, Talal has developed a strong understanding of the admissions practices and requirements at universities across the US, UK, wider Europe and Canada. Talal has worked with hundreds of students across the globe as they prepare for life at university and beyond. He is an Engineering Master's (MEng) graduate of the University of Cambridge, graduating in 2014. He is also a member of the International Association for College Admission Counselling.

 

Having also applied to the US for his undergraduate studies, he gained admission to Stanford University, Princeton University and Columbia University. Furthermore, his multicultural background, growing up in both London and Dubai, as well as his prior work experience in the engineering, investment banking and strategy consulting industries brings a unique and multi-dimensional perspective to his work with students. His underlying philosophy is centred around mentorship of his students, which is also core to Integra Education; he builds strong and long-lasting relationships founded upon a thorough understanding and addressing of each of his students' specific strengths, passions and areas for development.

Henry Phillips

Academic Mentor

Henry graduated with a degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge, specialising in Physics. He has worked extensively as a Mathematics, Physics and SAT tutor, both in person and online. He has also worked with students preparing for Oxbridge admissions exams. He is passionate about his subjects and seeing them taught in a manner which is as engaging as it is rigorous.

 

Whilst covering the syllabus and teaching invaluable problem solving skills, Henry always aims to nurture a student’s confidence, enthusiasm and curiosity. Not only does he believe this is the key to effective teaching, but his considerable experience tells him these are exactly the qualities that top universities look for in their applicants.

Sura Arijey

Academic Mentor

Sura is a 1st Class Honours Mechanical Engineering (MEng) graduate from University College London. He has spent 7 years tutoring students from various backgrounds in SAT, GMAT, A-Levels, IB, AP, GCSEs, and in various university admissions exams (including Oxbridge). Sura took Mathematics, Physics and Economics at A-Level, obtaining A* grades in each subject, as well as scoring 1500 in his SAT. He is hence driven to guide his students in that similar direction of academic excellence.

 

With his support, Sura has had many students achieve top grades in their exams, going on to pursue degrees at some of the best universities in the world. Yet, more importantly, Sura aspires to teach in a way that allows students to fully appreciate and comprehend their subject matter as well as its relevant real-world application. He also aims to ensure that his students enjoy this learning process and possibly find their passion in what they learn.

Haider Toha

Academic Mentor

Haider is a qualified Aeronautics (MEng) graduate from Imperial College London with significant tutoring experience. With a strong academic background, including a consistently top performance at university (Dean's List) and 5 A* grades at A-Level, he specialises in tutoring high school level Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science, as well as the SAT. 

Since 2019, Haider has been helping students unlock their academic potential through tailored one-to-one sessions. Whether it's breaking down complex concepts or building exam strategies, he focuses on understanding each student's unique needs and adapting his approach to help them excel. His sessions combine structure, patience and encouragement - all backed by years of practical tutoring and mentoring experience.

Swetha Kannan

Academic Mentor

As a current PhD candidate at the University of Cambridge, Swetha is passionate about creating learning experiences that are not only effective but also inspiring and joyful. Her academic journey, which includes an MPhil in Medical Sciences from Cambridge and a First-Class Honours BSc from the University of Edinburgh, provides the foundation for her mentorship. She specialises in guiding students through all STEM disciplines, Psychology and English. In addition, for crucial admissions tests like the SAT, she offers a unique advantage, drawing from her firsthand experience of securing top-percentile scores.

Her mentoring philosophy is built on a simple idea: every student is unique. She is deeply committed to creating a supportive and inclusive environment, including for students with diverse academic needs and disabilities. Her goal is to understand how her students learn best, transforming challenging topics into accessible and engaging milestones. The goal is not just to build knowledge, but also the confidence, curiosity and passion that will help students find their voice and succeed.

Tommy Scanlon

Academic Mentor

Tommy is an experienced and certified educator with expertise in several subject areas. He received an MA with Distinction from Northeastern University London, where he studied Philosophy and Artificial Intelligence, and a Bachelor’s Degree from Georgetown University, where he studied Economics, Music, and Mathematics.

 

He holds a US teaching license and has several years of experience working as both a classroom teacher and as a tutor to individual students. He has worked with students on a number of subjects, including SAT/ACT test preparation, Mathematics, Economics and Computer Science. With a focus on personalized instruction and developing comprehensive understandings, Tommy is dedicated to improving student outcomes and ensuring student success both inside and outside of the classroom.
